Objective 1: 1. Discuss advances in the treatment of ADHD, ASD and other developmental-behavioral disorders.

Autism Symposium

Where the following objectives met:

1. Elicit a comprehensive history and formulate a differential diagnosis.

2. Interpret evaluation reports of behavior and development.

3. Synthesize the history, physical, and assessment findings to determine a developmental and/or behavioral diagnosis. 

4. Understand and support the management of the child with autism spectrum disorder and comorbid disorders.

5. Identify evidence-based treatment approaches available for children with autism spectrum disorder. 

Objective 2: 2. Describe practice variation to assess and treat developmental and behavioral problems and outcomes to assess effectiveness; and understand the trajectory of various developmental behavioral conditions through transition into young adulthood.

ADHD Symposium

2. Integrate the use of screening and assessment tools into the evaluation of ADHA and comorbid disorders.

3. Describe how to interpret psychological and educational testing.

4. Incorporate the use of brief psychotherapeutic interventions in practice.

5. Prescribe psychopharmacologic medications safely and competently.  

Objective 3: 3. Discuss evidence based treatments for various DBP conditions and how to implement them into practice and learn novels ways to enhance family participation in DBP clinical care and research.
